Norwegian musician and creative Anders Lillebo has crafted a unique musical universe inspired by Celtic and Nordic folk traditions, infused with elements of jazz. Originally trained as a jazz pianist, a visit to an Irish traditional music festival ignited his passion for Irish folk music. He quickly immersed himself in the tradition, spending several years in Galway to study and perform with some of Ireland's finest musicians.
In 2017, he released his debut album, Departure, recorded in Ireland with acknowledged producer Jack Talty. It received praise from respected folk outlets and led to extensive touring in Scandinavia. He has since released several albums, working with musicians from many different styles and backgrounds. In recent years he has focused increasingly on traditional music from his native area in Norway
Anders’s creative work extends over a number of different fields. Besides being a multiinstrumentalist, composer and producer, he also works as a photographer and hosts «The Folk Music Podcast»
In all his work, Anders strives to be as true to himself as possible, and he never shies away from new opportunities to extend his creative vision.
